There has been a recent rise in COVID-19 cases in India. This, however, is not the original Covid-19 but a mutation. It does not help that the Indian festival, Ramadan, has started recently. Many people go outside and walk around shoulder to shoulder through booths and other festival activities. There have been about half a million cases of the new Covid mutation reported in a day and those numbers are rising. The United States and other countries have even said that they were going to stop any travel to and from India in an effort to keep this new mutation from spreading. If we don’t want the new virus to spread, we need to keep stern public health measures, have emergency aid, and have a major rise in production of the COVID-19 vaccine.
